What this site can and can't tell you.
General information only
Everything published on HeelCups — guides, reviews, comparisons and answers to common questions — is general information about foot comfort and consumer products. It is written by the Heelcups.com Team, who are researchers and writers, not licensed medical professionals. Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan for you.
Talk to a clinician
Heel and foot pain has many causes, some of which need an in-person exam, imaging or prescription care. See a doctor or podiatrist if pain follows an injury, lasts more than a few weeks, wakes you at night, or comes with swelling, redness, numbness, fever or an inability to bear weight. If you have diabetes, poor circulation or nerve damage in your feet, check with your clinician before using any insole, compression sock, heated product or foot massager.
Products are comfort and support aids
The insoles, heel cups, socks, massagers and foot-care products we review are consumer comfort and support products unless a review explicitly says otherwise. They can make feet more comfortable; they do not cure, treat or heal medical conditions, and we don't describe them that way. Where a brand makes stronger claims, we flag them as the brand's claims.
